Forestry Mulching
Forestry mulching clears brush, saplings, and small-to-medium trees in a single pass and grinds the material into a mulch layer right where it stands — no burning, no hauling, no piles to deal with. It’s the cleanest, most efficient way to open up overgrown ground, and it’s what most of the land-clearing work across eastern Missouri calls for. Tell us about your property and we’ll connect you with an experienced local pro, free and with no obligation.
What Forestry Mulching Is
A forestry mulcher is a heavy rotary head mounted on a skid steer or excavator that grinds standing brush and trees into chips in one motion. Because everything is processed on the spot, there’s no need to cut, pile, burn, and haul like traditional clearing. The chips stay on the ground as a protective layer of mulch that controls erosion and breaks down naturally over time.
When You Need It
- Overgrown lots and acreage that have grown up into brush and saplings
- Invasive removal — bush honeysuckle, eastern red cedar, and other aggressive species
- Hunting trails, shooting lanes, and food plots
- Fence lines, property lines, and access roads
- Selective clearing where you want to keep the mature, valuable trees
Why It Beats Burning or a Dozer
A dozer and rake tear up the topsoil, leave huge debris piles, and invite erosion — and burning isn’t always legal or safe. Mulching leaves the ground intact, finishes in one pass, and can work on slopes and in conditions where heavier equipment can’t. You’re left with usable ground the same day instead of a cleanup project.
